Position Title: Treasurer-Women's Division/ Associate Treasurer of General Board of Global Ministries

Description:

The Women's Division of the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church is seeking application for Treasurer of the Division/Associate Treasurer of the General Board of Global Ministries. The Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the Division and the national treasurer for United Methodist Women. United Methodist Women is a 800,000 plus member organization with a $20 million annual budget. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff and work of the section of finance; serving on the Division staff cabinet, which provides management coordination for the Division; serving as business manager; being responsible for preparing budgets and financial reports; receiving and disbursing funds, and investing trust funds, endowments and securities of the Division; cultivating existing sources of funds and developing new ones; and serving as staff liaison to other divisions/units in financial matters.

Requisites:

Candidates must be a member of The United Methodist Church and know the history and work of United Methodist Women. Ideal candidates would have M.A., M.S., MBA in finance or equivalent. Accounting knowledge and/or experience. Minimum of five years working experience in organizations with national or global reach. Strong administrative skills; extensive communication skills; and an ability to work with volunteers. Travel required. The Women's Division is an equal opportunity employer.
